In the context of security and resilience of the energy supply hybrid renewable energy systems play an important role. In recent years, hybrid solar technologies (PVT) have developed in the shadow of the single technologies, namely photovoltaics and solar thermal energy. Now the technology is established with a collector area of 1.17 million m\u00b2 installed worldwide by the end of 2019. PVT systems have a much higher efficiency per unit area than comparable single technologies. This makes them particularly interesting for the building sector due to the increasing demand of locally generated renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
