On 19 January 2023, Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler (BMK) and klimaaktiv<\/strong>\u00a0QM Heizwerke awarded nine Austrian biomass district heating plants in the frame of the 7th Central European Biomass Conference in Graz. The showcase projects meet the highest technical and economic efficiency criteria and were awarded for the use of renewable energy sources, their coherent overall concepts and the special commitment of the plant operators. The award-winning projects are convincing, for example, due to comprehensive optimisation measures, (active) flue gas condensation and waste heat utilisation. In addition, a planner and QM Heizwerke Q-manager received an award for his pioneering achievements regarding the integration of absorption heat pumps in biomass heating plants and for the implementation of innovative system concepts to increase the overall system efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
