The Climate and Energy Strategy Styria 2030 including the Action Plan 2019-2021 forms the basis for Styria’s energy and climate policy. Energy efficiency is an important field of action for achieving the goals. The use of waste heat is an essential component here. The Action Plan 2019-2021 provides for the evaluation and further development of the Styrian Waste Heat Register. <\/p>\n\n
With regard to the development of possible new waste heat sources and potentials, the Waste Heat Register from 2012 is to be updated and made available to the public.<\/p>\n\n
The project consortium was commissioned to update and reissue the Waste Heat Register. For this purpose, bottom-up methods (direct contact with companies via questionnaires and on-site visits as well as analyses of publicly available environmental reports and emission databases) as well as top-down analyses (statistical evaluation of branch related benchmarks) are applied.
