The expansion of renewable energy generation and sufficient capacities for energy storage are central cornerstones of the necessary energy transition. Thermal building component activation can be a key technology here, as it can be used multifunctionally as a heat and cold delivery system and as a storage system for fluctuating renewables. <\/p>\n\n
In order to accelerate the market introduction of thermal building component activation in this still very new application, BTTAB will provide information about the performance of the storage and energy flexibility potential on the one hand, and on the other hand generate essential findings with regard to user comfort, user satisfaction, economic aspects in construction and operation as well as the functionality of the process workflows.<\/p>\n\n
For this purpose, a 1-year energy and comfort monitoring of 18 implemented projects in Austria will be carried out, with a focus on the most diverse types of use (residential, office & administration, accommodation, education, health care, manufacturing, storage, etc.), construction techniques (concrete, brick, wood, clay) and object sizes.<\/p>\n\n
