Since the building owners are the driving force in the investment&amp; process, the project focuses on convincing building owners in the benefits of sustainable cooling solutions through marketing and dissemination of already existing technologies, knowledge and tools. In addition the project aims at supporting the cooperation between suppliers of sustainable cooling solutions and ensuring the link to policy instruments, that might support the accelerated market penetration of sustainable cooling. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dass Nachhaltige K\u00fchlkonzepte zur Normalit\u00e4t werden, ist das Ziel des EU-Projektes \u201cKeepCool\u201e. Hauptaufgabe des Projektes ist es, langfristig das Thema Nachhaltiges K\u00fchlen in den K\u00f6pfen von Geb\u00e4udeeigent\u00fcmern, Mietern, Architekten, Haustechnikern usw. verankern. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strategisches K\u00fchlen bedeutet eine konsequente Minimierung des Energieeinsatzes, angefangen von der Minimierung des K\u00fchlbedarfs bis zur technischen Ausf\u00fchrung. Strategisches K\u00fchlen wird u.a. durch folgende Schritte erreicht: <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Die Komforttemperatur der Au\u00dfentemperatur anpassen<br\/>2. Ma\u00dfnahmen in der st\u00e4dtebaulichen Umgebung des Geb\u00e4udes<br\/>3. Reduktion des externen W\u00e4rmeeintrags (z.B. durch Beschattung und W\u00e4rmed\u00e4mmung)<br\/>4. Reduktion des internen W\u00e4rmeeintrags (Effiziente elektrische Ger\u00e4te und Beleuchtung)<br\/>5. Individuelle Anpassung des Nutzerverhaltens an h\u00f6here Temperaturen (Kleiderordnung etc.)<br\/>6. Passive K\u00fchltechnologien: Nachtzirkulation, K\u00fchlung der Geb\u00e4udemasse, Vortemperierung der Luft im Erdreich, etc.<br\/>7. Solare K\u00fchltechnologien: Adsorptions- und Absorptionsk\u00e4ltemaschinen<br\/>8. Effiziente aktive K\u00fchlsysteme sollten nur zur Deckung des Restk\u00fchlbedarfes eingesetzt werden.<br\/>9. Regelm\u00e4\u00dfige Wartung der Systeme, Nutzerinformation<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Die Arbeitspakete<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project consists of four work packages that reflect to the overall goals and objectives:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Work package 1 collects the state of the artrelated to sustainable cooling. Starting from a definition of \u201csustainable cooling\u201d, the information will be presented \u201cfrom the perspective of the building owner\u201d. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Work package 2 describes available tools. As final output will a tool kit with assessment instruments and strategies for implementation of \u201csustainable cooling\u201d be produced. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Work package 3 contains marketing and dissemination activities. The work package is implemented on national and regional level. The focus is on precise advice in real projects but also seminars, face to face meetings and pilot projects. A network of key actors is created.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Work package 4 ensures the link to policy makers, which (in addition to marketing and know-how transfer) support the accelerated market penetration of sustainable cooling approach and technologies. Policy instruments will increasingly address energy consumption for cooling and support sustainable cooling solutions. Awareness of existing sustainable cooling solutions that secure summer comfort will increase due to marketing and dissemination activities in the participating countries.
