The \u2018Zukunftshof\u2019, formerly known as \u2018Haschahof\u2019, is an area in south-east Vienna that was always used for agriculture and features various farm buildings. The neighbourhood and farm complex was built at the end of the 19th century and will be the future gateway to the new RothNEUsiedl urban expansion area to the south. The farm forms the link and an identity-creating entry point from the established city into the new development area. <\/p>\n\n
While the address creation, anchoring as an identity-creating project and seasonal interim uses were successfully implemented, the structural renovation and thermal energy supply of the buildings have so far remained unnoticed. The aim is to renovate 15 buildings (parts) with 6,238 m\u00b2 of gross floor area on 8,681 m\u00b2 of land and make them fit for a climate-neutral future. <\/p>\n\n
A mix of uses, including urban food production, energy generation, marketing, education and events, is intended to breathe life into the approximately 15 buildings (or parts thereof) and secure their future. An innovative renovation concept for the neighbourhood based on renewable energies and energy efficiency measures is to be developed, and a master plan for implementation is to be presented at the end of the project. The measures and technologies used are intended to bring the \u2018Zukunftshof\u2019 from the technical standard of the 19th century to that of the 21st century, thereby supporting the development of a Viennese Food Innovation Hub. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":9244,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-9245","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
