ReVation – Renewable energy technologies and façade engineering: Achieving CO2 Neutral serial building renovation

ReVation aims to collaborate in the development and standardisation innovative solutions for low-carbon retrofitting technologies and evaluation methods for existing buildings, aligning with the sustainability commitments of China and Austria. The project will develop new approaches for scalable, prefabricated multifunctional façade renovation, advance renewable energy integration and building envelope retrofit technologies and integrated HVAC solutions on lower TRL levels, and develop intelligent tools and methods for precise carbon emission calculations and standards for comprehensive low-carbon retrofit effectiveness evaluations by cross national technology cooperations of innovative Austrian and Chinese technology providers (Towern3000; GREENoneTEC; China Overseas Development Group Co., Ltd.), planners and consultants (Intep; Solareast Holding Co., Ltd.) and applied research institutes (AEE INTEC, SCUT, CABR, Harbin Institute of Technology). The focus lies on creating a base for further commercial collaboration and the transfer of Austrian and Chinese digital technologies and processes in the field of low-carbon retrofitting technologies.
