BEZUG – Inquiry of the needs regarding the energy future of communities and their owned buildings
In Austria a lot of communities are in a bad financial situation. On the other hand regulations like the EPBD 2010 require more technical effort and difficult decisions regarding energy and building performance for the communities in the future. More than in the past they are forced to reduce their running costs, especially operational and energy costs, by at the same time increase the quality of their services like education in schools etc. In the sense of a “powerdown” of the energy and resource demand of communities dedicated concepts are needed.
The project “BEZUG” inquires the communities about their thinking and ideas facing the energy and resource needs of the future, and about planned measures in this area. The ten most important measures will be rated against innovative ideas, energy and resource input over the life-cycle and then listed by their priority. They will serve the communities as a catalogue of feasible, future-oriented measures for their decision-making processes. The catalogue will together with results of the project “Dorf 2.0” be presented at different events and by different channels.
Results:
- 45 communities of the three defined Styrian „Großregionen“ have answered questionnaires (one third of the community-number after the organized merging of the communities in these “Großregionen”)
- 20 qualitative interviews with representatives of these communities
- 10 well investigated, life-cycle-analyzed and explained measures
