HOTSPOTS – Holistic thermographic screening of urban physical objects at transient scales

To improve a city effectively and understand its optimization potentials detailed knowledge on the “as-is” situation is mandatory and a prerequisite. So far an integrated and city wide data basis with up-to date information is frequently missing or fragmented. As core element of the project proposal we introduce a city-wide thermal data acquisition from aerial images resulting in a 3D thermal representation of all buildings in a city, in particular mapping the roof structures but also aspects of the building facades.
