Representatives from partners AEE INTEC, South China University of Technology, China Academy of Building Research (CABR), and Nussmüller Architekten ZT GmbH gathered at an international consortium meeting in Innsbruck at Bartenbach – The Lighting Innovators. The meeting was part of the Austrian-Chinese research project “TechAdZero – Key Technologies for Adaptive Building Envelopes in Net Zero Energy High-Rise Buildings.” TechAdZero explores the energy potential and optimal technology configurations for intelligent, adaptive facades of nZEB high-rise buildings. The goal is to maximize energy efficiency in high-rise structures by utilizing intelligent, actively adaptive facade elements. The project examines Austrian and Chinese facade technologies that allow for dynamic control of renewable energy generation and solar radiation, light, and air transmission properties.
