Amstetten Smart City Life 2030 – FutureHub

The main objective of the project is to prepare technological and socially innovative standards and indicators for neighbourhood development in the test environment of the remise still contained in the neighbourhood within the framework of several workshops with stakeholders. Concepts for the thematic areas of finance, mobility and energy will be developed and evaluated together with the local partners. These concepts are to be implemented in an exemplary manner within the framework of the FutureHub (collaborative work and learning). A “New Urban Governance Prototype / Procedure” will be used as an innovative steering instrument. On the basis of the results, binding agreements will be drawn up between stakeholders for future neighbourhood development.

As a central element of the heating and cooling supply, a local heating network is planned which operates at the low/lowest temperature level and is fed, among other things, by industrial waste heat. To this end, flexible and adaptable building concepts will be developed on the basis of district development, which are to be gradually integrated into the supply system.
