Anergy2Plus – Demonstration and expansion of an anergy network as part of a holistic energy concept and plus-energy quarter
A new residential quarter, the “Garten der Generationen”, (GdG) is to be built in Herzogenburg (Lower Austria). This building project includes the construction and commissioning of an energetic building compound with partly mixed use on a planned gross floor area of approx. 10’000 m². The aim of the overall project is to develop a sustainable residential quarter over several construction phases, whereby sustainability does not only refer to aspects of energy supply, but other areas such as social life are also considered. The central element of the energy supply is to be an energy network for heating and cooling, which will grow with the construction phases and integrate more and more local resources.
In a first construction phase (start of construction Q3 / 2020), 3 apartment buildings with a respective partial use of 15% for e.g. offices, nursing practices are to be built. In parallel, the infrastructure for the sustainable energy supply by means of the anergy network is to be installed, including the necessary thermal storage (e.g. ground storage), heat pumps at building level, heat sources via solar collectors and monitoring equipment for the evaluation and optimisation of the operation.
