GREENFOODS goes Chile – Energy efficiency and integration of renewable energy in the agro-food industry in Chile

The aim of the “GREENFOODS goes Chile” courses is to increase the knowledge on energy efficiency and the integration of renewable energy of “professionals”, which are already working in the field of renewable energies or have a good engineering background in the agro-food industry in Chile. Further to transfer the specific knowledge for the integration of solar thermal systems as well as other renewables into production processes in combination with energy efficiency measures is a main issue.

The project will train “professionals” linked to the following target group:

  • Engineers from renewable energy companies
  • Persons with a degree in energy or environmental related studies
  • Training institutions like universities and other training centres
  • Energy managers of small and medium enterprises in the target industries
  • Engineering companies

“GREENFOODS goes Chile” consists of three steps:

  • Development of a tailor-made energy management training module for the food and beverage and agricultural industry in Chile
  • Implementation of the course
  • Support of trained trainers in performing own courses
