Municipal Heat Planning and Building Renovation Roadmap for Weiz

The project aims to develop an integrated municipal heat plan and a detailed renovation roadmap for public buildings for Weiz. By improving and harmonizing energy-relevant building data, the project establishes a robust spatial data basis for strategic heat planning.
The municipal heat plan includes a comprehensive assessment of the building stock, existing heat infrastructure and renewable heat potentials. Based on this, target scenarios for 2030 and 2040 are developed, priority areas for building renovation and heating system replacement are identified, and an action plan with monitoring framework is defined.
In parallel, a renovation roadmap for municipal buildings specifies concrete measures, priorities, timelines and cost estimates. The results directly feed into the heat plan and support informed decision-making for implementing the local heat transition.
