NetZero2040 – Innovation NOW for the Future

NetZero2040 is an initiative of the Climate and Energy Fund. The consortium is led by the Energy Institute at the JKU and supported by the partners AIT, the Chair for Energy Network Technology at the University of Leoben and AEE INTEC.

Innovative Austrian companies are to be placed at the centre of climate neutrality 2040. The prerequisite for this is a defined corporate strategy for climate neutrality in production by 2040 combined with a roadmap for achieving these goals. This vision should focus on both, energy and raw materials, and lead to concrete implementations within the framework of R&D projects as pilot and demonstration plants.

Solutions and innovative plants will be placed in the focus and the achievability of the goals will be emphasised. For this purpose, the frontrunners are supported by the partners in the areas of strategy development, visibility, networking and R&D funding programmes. Corresponding focal points of work are the identification of relevant companies, winning the companies for NetZero2040, support, exchange and networking as well as the dissemination of the results.
