SHIP Egypt Training for the Egyptian Industry on Solar Heat in Industrial Processes

In the frame of a multi-annual UNIDO programme efforts will be taken to improve the market for solar process heat in Egypt.

On the one hand the potential of the region could be addressed by installing best practice examples and on the other hand by deepening the knowledge of local energy experts through specialised training courses.

AEE INTEC will train solar experts in the industrial environment in a multi-phase training program.

The trainings will take place in Cairo and will cover standardised energy audits, assessment of thermal energy systems, development of energy efficiency actions as well as questions with regard to design and installation of solar thermal systems for industrial processes.

The participants will work in teams and will deal with the questions addressed in the theoretical trainings in the environment of ten real companies. AEE INTEC will support the trainees also with site visits.

The goal is, that the participants who successfully passed the training courses subsequently are going to do energy audits and that with subsidies provided by the government numerous installations are going to be implemented.
