UNIDO-ISA – STAR-C Preparatory Phase
The International Solar Alliance (ISA) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) signed a Joint Declaration (JD) for the Promotion of Solar Energy Globally on 19th March 2018. This reflects the joint interest and commitment to collaborate for the development of knowledge networks, provision of evidence-based advice to Member Countries and facilitation of south-south and triangular cooperation within the Global Network of Sustainable Energy Centres (GN SEC) which is being led by UNIDO. Under this framework, the Joint Network Support Project for International Solar Technology and Application Resource Centres – STAR C was identified as
a potential focus for collaboration between the ISA and UNIDO.
In this context, UNIDO is contracting the development of the initial baseline and needs assessment, as well as the development of a regional model qualification and certification framework by AEE – Institute for Sustainable Technologies (AEE INTEC).
